Played on the 1984 12-inch softball national championship team and was named to the all-tournament team. He was inducted into the Illinois 12-inch Softball Hall-of-Fame.
Is a tennis instructor in his spare time.
Hobbies include owing and riding horses, biking, attending USTA leagues and tournaments, playing softball, boating and water skiing, rollerblading, raising chickens and selling chicken eggs.
